Default Quick question about bigger tires and rims.

Alright so I'm looking at getting a used set of 31 10.50 15. What I'm wondering is will they fit on my truck to begin with, because it doesn't have a body lift installed or any type of lift for that matter. If they would fit the truck would they fit on my 15 inch rims that are currently hold 235's 75R 15's?

Any help is always greatly appreciated. The tires I have on now are just about gone; they're 235's 75R 15's.

I own a 98' 4DR, 4X4 Blazer.

Thanks again.

Those tires will rub if the truck is stock height. You need to install 2" shackles and crank your torsion bars 1"-1.5". And yes the tires will fit your stock rims.

I wanted a click up from the 235/75/15s, so I found an online tire size calculator. It overlaid mine against some 265/75/15s. It SHOWED to be 1" larger on each side and 2" in height. They ended up filling the wheel wells completely. I'm guessing it was at least a 4"-6" overall boost in diameter. These are ATs but there is no larger tire I could have put in there w/out modification. --Currently only my front splash guards have to be remounted b/c the bottoms bend fwd a bit & rub at about 45 deg turns. The tires have plenty of room up & down in the wells, but come w/in about 4" of the front outer valance and about 2" from the rear outer fender during their 'travel' in a Lock-to-Lock turn.

I hope this helps somebody contemplating jacking up their tire size. (My application is below...).

Can you remember the website?

The upgrade to 265's seems like a clear choice for me right now. I'll get a used set of 4, 265's for the winter, than when the summer breaks I'll get a new set of 31's..because hopefully by than I'll have the body lift done.

Thanks for your help guys.

Thanks!

Not much of a difference in the 31x10.50x15 and 265x75x15.

I'm on a budget so I was thinking if I bought two new 265x75x15's for the back, and left the 235x75x15's on the front would that be too retarded or?

Having a skinny wallet blows.

Thanks again guys.
