removing spare tire carrier

Thumbs up removing spare tire carrier

i have a zr2 blazer and im trying to remove the spare tire carrier on the back because i cant see out my back window and it rattle really loud but i want to leave the brackets there to put it back on when i need it and i cant get the bolt out were the hinge is i took the pins out and i even hammered them and they wont budge is there a trick to this can anyone help me thanks

Are you saying you are trying to get the pins out with the brackets still on the truck? if so then that will not work. But if you take them off spray them with some PB blaster (or similar product NOT WD40! wont work) and let them sit for a little while then hammer them, they should come right out. Use a nail punch or socket extension to hammer it the rest of the way out.
