Default Should I get a new rim?

I got in a car accident today wasn't my fault. I was going up the side hill of my house where the road meets a developement entrance I seen some one waiting to pull out they backed up because some one was going to pull in I seen the guy wave him on and I knew I was going to get t-boned because the kid never looked my way. I was doing 30mph and I felt it he t-boned me. I pulled over and called my dad got out of the car and seen he just hit my rim. I tore off his whole front bumper. Anyway on topic should I replace my rim I didn't take it off and check it it had a crack from the outside it looks fine only a few dings and scuff marks. It drives fine but my dad is worried it might have a internel crack or a hairline fracture. So should I get a new rim?

I would consider dismounting the tire from the rim and checking before spending the money on a new rim.

Yeah you can have the tire taken off and have shop look at it and make sure there is no damge to the rim. If it looks ok you should be good to go! If it does have a crack somewhere you will more than likely lose air in the tire.

if there is a crack , you would have a flat BTW
I would bet money that if it is still holding air and you dont see any rash area there is nothing wrong with the rim
