tire dealer talked me out of them

I was looking at a set of these in 30's
Went to get a price and the tire dealer said "those will be no good for the winter"
We cant stud them

It says studable on the site, your tire dealer must have been dropped on his head.

Its illegal to run studs in this part of Ontario on the street
He will sell me something eventually so he really isnt losing a sale
