tire slowly leaking
since about a year ago when i got brand new michelins put on, my one tire is always lower than the rest. the rest will hold at 32-34 psi as recommended but this one tire after being refilled will always lose 2-4 lbs every 2 to 4 weeks. theres no noticeable damage to the rim or tire, as i took it off for a full inspection
any suggestions?
any suggestions?
Bead where the tire seats could have some corrosion/grime that whoever mounted them didn't clean well, valve stem seeping, something small stuck in the tire or didn't stick making a pinhole... New tire don't mean the list is any different of possible leaks.
that little ,its likely at the bead like stated
Some aluminum rims corrode really bad at that edge
A good tire shop will wire wheel it off and apply a paint on type sealer to that edge of the rim to help it seal against the tire
do not add sealer via the valve stem , it makes a hell of a mess inside
Fill up the kiddie pool and submerge your tire , but doubt that slow of a leak will be seen

i didnt notice it right after maybe 6 months after they got installed. i used to check the pressure once every 2 weeks and it was always fine until the one time i got them rotated and was told it was low and to put air in them. oh yea those sealers via the stem are a mess. gonna do the kiddie pool idea thank you for the quick response guys
