Yeppp
Shackles deal with leaf springs, Spacers deal with coil springs (like on the 2wd blazers)

Sounds about right. 3/4" spacer on each side should get you about right.

RE: tire spacers???
Hello,
I put wheel spacers on my 2005 Blazer last year.
They are 2.25" on the rear and 1.5" on the front. At this size, the tires sit out perfectly, and LINE UP EVENLY!!
I also just put on some BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2's. (stock size, 235-75-15) But the look is MUCH more aggressive. Lots of snow here in Canada so far, and I am plowing right through piles as tall as my hood with ease.
I tried to upload some photos, but this site is being "buggy" at the moment.
