tire and wheel opinions? please help
will 30x10.50r15 with a 15x7 5.5"bs tire and wheel combo fit on a stock 95 4x4 blazer? if i got this right, 4x4's have 4.5" bs and 2x4 have 6". so if i put 2wd rims on my truck, it will have a wider stance. i have read that you cant go with 6" bs with 30" tires so if i take it back 1/2" i should clear? its a street truck that will only go off road a few times a year. if anybody has a pic of a 4x4 with 5.5" bs rims on it, can u post it please? i wanna see if this is gonna five me the look i want. thanks

RE: tire and wheel opinions? please help
how many threads are you going to start about your tires?
and your infos wrong. 2wds have 4' backspacing, 30s will fit with 6' of backspacing.
but since youre having issues...lemme try one more time. 30x9.5 is the biggest, with no lift. if you decrease backspacing, you have to decrease tire size, or lift the truck higher. pick on.

i hear ya baout the "other thread". there is just so many different opinions on what fits and what doesnt that im not sure anyone really knows. sorry about making to many threads, didnt realize it was that big of a deal? lol. it doesnt matter anymore, i just found out that a 30x10.50 will fit without rubbing and that i can use a bs of up to 1.25" wider than stock (per hmh offroading)

Where did you figure that out? I have 30x10.50s and rub with 4.5' backspacing on 4' of lift and fender trimming...

ok so your stance is 1.5" wider than stock? how much offset would you need to make it 1" wider than stock? thats all i want, 1"

RE: tire and wheel opinions? please help
offset =/= backspacing

WOW...... Ok, If you can understand this or want to listen to it, I have a set of 2000 Z28 stock 16" wheels on my STOCK HIEGHT BLAZER. They are 8" wide and have a 5.75" backspace, I'm running a 245/70/16 (which isexactly a29.5" diameter) tire. With that backspacing and width on FULL LOCK turns the tire tread will rub on my front sway-bar. YOU CANNOT run a tire bigger than 29.5" on a non-lifted S/T blazer regardless of the backspacing. Why don't you just get a WIDER WHEEL (like I did) to get a little more width on the stance? You could get an 8" or 8.5" wide wheel with 6" of backspacing, but EVEN WITH THAT WHEEL YOU CAN NOT RUN A TIRE BIGGER THAN 29.5" diameter without rubbing.
