What size tires can I fit to replace those for the upcoming winter?

Maybe 30 in

 

If stock height then yes 30/9.5 r15. However i bought a set of 255/70/15 which equates to 29.5/10 r15. So keeping in mind most tires that say they are a 30/9.5 they are really 29-29.5 tall. The 255/70/15 actually sized up taller than a set of 30" tires i put beside them plus they are a half inch wider for a better foot print. Just my experience and 2 cents.

 

Oh and the 255/70/15 tires fit my 2000 Blazer with no rubbing, even with mild off roading.

 

On a stock Blazer I personally prefer the 255/70/15's as well. The 30x9.5's just seem too skinny.
