"Wheel" they fit?
the wheels im looking at in a 15x7 come in 3.75, 4, and 4.25 backspacing. my question is which one will fit with minor fender rub while still sticking out a little. i plan on running the same size tire i have now which is 255/70/15. ATM i have factory 4x4 wheels with 1.5' spacers on and had next to no rub 5seconds with a hammer fixed the rub :D. and i have no lift, no cranked tbars, no shackles.

Stock is 6" bs so 4" will stick out 2" further than stock and .5" further than what you have now with spacers. 4" bs is the most i would personally do.

I'd go with the 4.25" BS. The Z28 Camaro wheels are 15x7 and 4.5" BS and IMO are the perfect BS for the blazers. The 4.25 will stick out 1/4" more than Camaro wheels

15x7
Backspacing (in):3.688 in. Offset:-20.00mm 15x7 Backspacing (in):3.750 in. Offset:-6.00mm Size:15x8 Bolt Pattern:5x4.75 Offset:-27mm Backspace:3.44 how will these fit? |
I agree with Jamaroon that the 4.25 BS rims would be the better option. Not as much trouble with rubbing on the fender and less stress on the front hubs.

Same question, same answer... go with the 4.25 BS, the rest will rub

rubbing is what I don't want. I don't plan on building my blazer for offroad, I plan on buying a cheap truck soon to beat on instead of ruining my blazer

There is another guy on the forum that asked a very similar question. The lower the number is in inches for backspacing the more it will stick out, I have 15x8 with 3.75" BS and rub quite a bit, I'm not using any sort of oversized tires but my sidewalls are about 2.75" out from my fender. Z28 wheels are 15x7 with 4.5" BS and stick out 1.5"-2".
