30X9.50R15
Hey guys was considering this size of tire for front and rear on factory 15 alloys.

From the center of my front fenders down is 32". I'm assuming the previous owner cranked up the t-bars.
The rear sits high because of new re-arched leaf packs.
I measured the center of the bottom of my rear fenders and came back at 34 5/8".
Any input is appreciated!!!!

 

BTW the u.s. measurements with tire sizeing confuses me over the metric size. I put 30x9.50x15 into a converter and it came out to be
241/79/15.
I've never seen odd numbers other than 235/245/255 etc. Never 241/242/243 width? Haha I bet I sound like a super noob

 

The numbers don't translate directly:

A 30x9.5x15 is 30" tall, 9.5" wide and has a 15" diameter hole for the rim.

A 235/70/r15 tire is 235MM wide and is 70% as tall as it is wide and needs a 15" rim.

The best thing you can do is find a chart that says about how tall a standard 235/75/r15 tire is and then go from there.

 

There aren't torsion bars if you have a 2wd, there are coil springs.

 

Correct there are only coils no t-bars on mine. I see the Struts themselves say " gas adjust" in a red and white lined sticker.

Idk if I'll be able to find 30x9.5x15 at the tire place I am going to. Or will I?

 

Will that size be too tall? Should I just got to a 235/75/15?

 

Or 245/70/15?

 

I had 255/70/15's on a stock 4 door 4x4 with no rubbing, and I've seen others do the same. There's very little difference in ride height between the 2wd and 4wd non-Z S-series trucks. A 255/70/15 or 30x9.5x15 is about the biggest you can fit on a stock non-ZR2 s-series truck without risking rubbing the fenders, sway bar, and frame.

So I've cross referenced
245/75/15/ = 29.5x9.65x15
245/70/15 = 28.5x9.65x15
235/75/15 = 28.5x9.25x15
235/70/15 = 28x9.25x15

So you know I can fit a 245/75/15 under the front and rear of my 02 2 door 2wd? If so then that would be my choice! Please anyone chime in!
