will these fit?
Yes they should fit on the stock rims at stock 4x4 height as long as your rear suspension is not sagging any. What I mean by this is that the front leaf spring mount should have the leaves coming out towards the rear flat not below the mount point. Some others have pics of this. Hope this helps
its not so much the rear suspension to worry about.... with a 97 model, your front suspension has probably started to sag..... 31's will have a clearance issue at stock height... especially with a mud terrain... popular consensus is that a torsion bar tweak will eliminate most of the rubbing.... but you will rub 31x10.50x15's at stock height....
Yeah, I blanked out when I replyed before I was thinking of 30x9.5's those should work on stock height and with a little tweaking as stated above, you should be able to fit 31's.
If you're going to crank the TB, do it until you clear the tires by enough that they won't rub when you're beatin' on it...
You will have increased wear on things like balljoints, cv-axles, and pretty much every other front end component, other than the diff... Steering might be good to go, but not sure

Just get 30's if its a DD Gas Milage on these tires sucks. I have the 30's and average 15-16 and about 12-13 in the city. I was getting 22 average before I added the tires. Look in my gallery you can see pics of the 30's on my truck
