Default ZR2 Tire Questions

What are some good choices for tires for a 2004 ZR2 Blazer, it has 265/75/R15 on it right now, looking for an aggressive tire that can use off road but primarily will be used on the highway. I am thinking of getting bf goodrich all terrain ta's, just open to other suggestions or comparable sizes like 33/10.5/R15.

The BFG ATs are good tires. I has those before I lifted mine. Just fyi you wont be able to fit 33s without a lift.

Without lifting the truck, the 31/10.50/R15 is about as big as you can go.

Guess I am just a bit confused really, cause there are hardly any 265/75/r15 available at all, really hard to find, so making sure that is same size for a zr2. thanks.

31X10.5's is what came stock on ZR2s until late in the production run and then the Blazers started getting the 265/75s. As stated, BFG A/T KOs are pretty much the standard for the best on/offroad tire out there, though you might want to look at the Cooper ST. It was a toss up on which one I wanted to go with but I could only get 33X10.5s in the BFGs (yes, I have a body lift, shackles and tbar tweak).

There are a couple people that have gone with the cooper's over the BFG's. I haven;t heard anything bad about them yet...and I believe they are cheaper too..

You might want to consider the Firestone Destination A/T's. I have them on my Blazer and love them. Nice road manners, but I have never had any problems in the mud and clay here in WV

Cool, the BFGs and Cooper are the main ones I was considering, the size thing just threw me off, cause they only come in 31s, don't want to have reset my speedometer or anything, and the blazer is a completely stock 2004, just got it, and basically, tires is about all i can afford to do to it, maybe cold air intake or least a better air filter not sure, thanks I will look at both tires and see what I can do.

The BFGs are going on sale next week, I already have my name on a set for next week in 31s, and sounds like I'm getting a nice price too.

I just got some 32"-11.50-15 on my ZR2 today, and no rubbing. Take a look in my garage on here.
