will not shift
Usually when this happens it means that your computer has detected some kind of problem with the transmission or transmission control system. It will go into limp mode and stay in second gear in order to let you get it somewhere safely while trying to protect itself from further damage.
You are going to need to get it taken in and hooked up to a scanner capable of checking transmission codes if you want to find out exactly what is wrong with it. It could be something simple like a bad sensor that can easily be replaced or it could be something internal that is wrong. Getting any stored codes will go a long way to finding the problem.
