Wouldn't it be nice if admins and mods had a animated banner on top of the site. you know to spread news and information like nominations , and other stuff ?

I think its a good idea but it could get outta hand i guess

If people don't see it on the main page, I'm not sure what they would see unless it was a legitimate 3d hand popping out of their monitor and slapping them in the face before directing their face to look at the announcement.

I think it is a bad idea. Even if we could change the banner for any specific purpose, it would end up being more annoying than anything else. If people can't or won't see the Nominate or Voting links a flashy banner isn't going to help. It would probably annoy most and make them not want to come back.

 

Yeah I would agree with Swartlkk, it would probably be a pain to update/change it and would possibly wind up looking like an annoying popup ad. Most of the information that is viewed a lot turns up as 'stickies' so I think its good the way it is
