Hazard switch installs vertically. There is a single small tab on the backside of this small assembly, you can slide a thin screw driver down there, to free the triangular tab from it's slot in the steering column socket.

Hazard switch showing the Tab. The little triangular tab in front of my thumbnail is the only thing holding the Hazard assembly into the steering column. These switches are about 15 dollars at the dealership.

Steering Column socket for Hazard switch. The little rectangular notch is the catch for the triangular tab on the hazard switch assembly.
