This pic was taken January 7th, a good month and a half BEFORE I bought the Jimmy, I was looking at it for quite a while and they had NO other takers in an almost 2 month long time span.

This was a "first on my list" of improvements, on February 22nd I went shopping and picked up a 14-foot 5/16" tow chain, a 20,000 pound 20-foot recovery strap with hooks, and several other things including the LOUD air horns after I hit the button and didnt hear Jimmy "beeping" with the anemic factory horns. It makes some NOISE now, I left the factory horns hooked up, but added a relay and drive the air pump through that.

Some time between the day I brought him home and February 27th when this picture was taken, I found myself pulling a 6X14 enclosed trailer moving my sister-in-law, that tank of gas got me a low of 13mpg but I was pulling a full trailer up and down the mountains around here.

Since I am an Amateur Radio "Ham" I just HAD to find places to mount radios and antennas, that would be able to accomodate my needs as well as stay on the vehicle when leaving the pavement as I planned to do. Pic taken March 6th.

Being an Amateur Radio guy and Advanced SKywarn Spotter trained volunteer through both the State College, PA. National Weather Service AND Buffalo, NY. offices, I procured decals for my Skywarn certification and picked up some decals for my Amateur Radio callsign on all sides of the Jimmy. March 10th Found me the time to start drilling on the front bumper for my next addition to Little Jimmy, too bad the EX-wife got me a set of cheap junk drill bits, I went through 3 of them to drill 4 holes in the front bumper.

My next project/ upgrade, remove the original (corroded) battery terminal connector bolts and replace with brass bolt/stud combo coated with dielectric grease, for ease of jumper cable contact and connection of cables later on for jumper cable connectors/winch connectors. March 10th.

One of many MANY pictures of the LED conversions I have done, I had to bore out the map light housings to fit the 8-LED retrofit bulbs. MUCH brighter than the single incandescent's

The bank of the road I live on, the truck on the road is at my neighbor's second driveway and that butts up against the bank into my yard, I could NOT make this 7-foot 50-degree climb with the Uniroyal Laredo tires that came with the Jimmy on the stock spoke style aluminum wheels, those tires required 4 wheel drive WAY too much for simple stuff.

Shopping at the junkyard is ALWAYS fun and profitable.

I got a HELL of a deal on a set of American Racing 136 Ventura wheels and worn out BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's.
The BFG's were a HUGE improvement over the Uniroyal Laredo tires that were on the Jimmy when I bought it.

Here are the BFG 235/75/15 tires with the Super Swamper TSL 29x8.50x15 I bought for Jimmy to play with.
I havent had a vehicle with TSL's since before I was married, now that she's gone, I have the fun back in my life.

Here are the Super Swampers mounted on the AR Ventura wheels, with my 102-inch CB/10-meter antenna on the grille guard, and the 144/222/440 tri-band Diamond Ham radio antenna mounted to the rear antenna mount. I also installed a wrap-around AVS bug deflector to match the AVS vent-visors over all 4 door windows.

I HATE that the low beam headlights go off when you switch to high beams, thats not going to last too long, I will change that little GM mistake.
Here are the high beams and both sets of driving lights, in this configuration and the way they're all aimed, I have a half mile of lighted roadway for highway, and a 120 degree cone of light pattern in every forward direction for off roading, tested a few times now and this works GREAT.

Here is my oldest son Troy installing a new Aiwa stereo in the Jimmy, it sounds 100% better than the stocker, and he's happy he has a CD player and audio input for his Ipod.

Our last off road endeavour, this was over a foot deep, one of several we travelled through before we realized that we weren't slipping at all with the Super Swampers, it was after this hole that I realized we were only in 2 wheel drive.
