Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
Basic Frame Up Restoration - It is as the factory made it with some basic fundamental improvements. Former military vehicle of some sort. Came with an interior which was off for a military ride. Still has the 24v junction-block hidden behind the rear passenger interior panel. The fella I purchased it from converted the 24v starting system to a 12v and disabled the 24v system. At some point I want it going back to a 24v. Purchased it with the original 6.5L which blew while the guy was trying to sell it to me at the popping point of 210,000 miles or so. Right on cue for an original 6.5.

The Damage:
Cracked block
Cracked heads (both)
6 Cracked Pistons
6 Bent Rods
2 Pistons Ripped / Exploded
2 Rods Ripped / Exploded
The crank is unmentionable. It was a mess.
The injection pump was tested – failed.

I think the only salvageable parts were the intake manifold, turbo and front end / accessories. The remainder of the driveline checked out well but was subsequently rebuilt for good measure. Open mouth insert foot. Ill get to that later.

Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
The Replacement:
Navistar Cast General Optimizer 6500 Block
Peninsular Diesel Forged Crank / Rods & Piston Set
Fluidampr Harmonic Balancer
BD Diesel Injector Set
New Stanadyne Injection Pump – Didn’t have much of a choice there.
New front end gear except cover and a/c compressor.
Arp Studs and some other goodies I can't think of off hand right now.

Suspension Modifications:
None yet. In contemplation... I have not had scrubbing, clearance issues as of yet. 18" clearance frame to ground. 8" clearance for flex.

Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Max size I can do on stock suspension without scrubbing during suspension flex. OE 16" Rims. 285/75R16(s) I think.

Interior/Exterior Modifications:
OE Restoration with some goodies. Internal Desktop CPU hidden behind driver side rear panel. Overhead digital touchscreen on overhead console for driver. Wireless passenger media quality touchscreen. Good sound, not bose or anything. The usual. Im not thumpin, just off-roading in style.

Future Modifications:
Pro-Comp GM Goodwrench Performance Suspension (They have a pretty slick setup for my VIN)
Rockwells or Danas?
Driveshafts
2 Speed Reduction Auxiliary Transmission
Actual Ram Air Intake, scoop style.
Intercooler
Front and Rear off road goodies. winch, rings, the works.
