Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
My truck was stolen a few months back and was missing for 5 days. While they had it they ran it very hard and rough so when I get it back the brake booster was out and it lost a ton of mpgs! I had to completely rebuild the brakes, all new calipers, pads, and patched three spots and the line going to the rear brakes. Then I began troubleshooting the engine issues. It was running very sluggish, strong gas smell, and black soot from the tail pipe. I replaced all the fuel filters and sensors that go along with the emissions of the truck and still got nothing! It went from 300 per full tank (18 gallons) to 85-95! I did some research online and found that the spider injector tends to go bad. Of course the part alone was $300-400! I removed the intake manifold and turn the key on to find that the lines going to and from the injector was squirting straight up in the air!! So I was literally dumping gas on the ground!! I found the replacement for less than $70 and now the truck is running better than ever!! Read more ยป
