what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
I finally did it. My poor 02 quit last November. I replaced distributor cap and checked a couple ignition related things, hoping and praying that it wasn’t the fuel pump.
Of course it was.
I convinced myself that this was an extremely difficult repair, especially in the street in front of my house since I couldn’t even get it into the driveway. I kept putting it off and driving the wife’s car. Finally buckled down and attacked the problem.
It was fully as awful as I expected. I’m sure a good mechanic would have had an easier time, and being 20 years younger would have helped. Having several additional hands would have been useful as well. It took me 4 days, and I nearly broke a rib somehow.
But I got it done!
That moment after I primed the fuel line and was ready to try starting it was stressful, but the joy when it immediately fired up was amazing!
I got my baby back.
Hopefully the fuel gauge works right, but I’m so used to just watching mileage that I’ll probably continue to fuel up when I hit 200
