Lower pressure radiator cap

I sez," That's a good idea." So I took of the tensioner pulley and removed the cover to the bearing with a utility knife! Never knew they were that accessible. Dry as a bone. Oh, i forgot to say that the bearing turned ok like it wasn't in too bad of shape. I greased it, put it back and started engine. Still squealing! Damn. So I figured it was shot and put on the new one I had bought. Still sqealing. Anyhow I turned the alternator by hand and its making a lil' noise that sounds like bearings. Sort of squeak, squeak. I'm gonna see if I can find a used one cuz I don't think I can lube it. I think that is the source of my noise. I sure thought it was that pulley cuz when I squirted some silicone on it the noise stopped. I also took of the other idler pulley just to check and it was pretty dry so I greased it also as that pulley is identical? to the other one

Many alternators have the same type bearing that can be greased but some are a pain to take apart & put back together. If the first bearing was not rough when you turned it on your finger it was probably ok.
