Default Spare tire carrier question

Damn thing was rattling like crazy, right at the hinges. I have new bushings to install to fix the noise, but I have no idea as to how to get the thing apart. I'm sure I'm just missing something, but it seems the pin is fixed. Can anyone help? Thanks

Theres a C clip on the bottom side of the pin that you need to take out, then they will come out but they are in there pretty tight so you may need to take the whole thing off the body so you can pound the pins out.

Got through taking it off the body and removing the c clips. I'll get a bigger hammer. Thanks.

when I went after removing the pins on mine, after grabbing a bigger hammer i ended up mushrooming the lower part of the pin - ended up cutting it off flush, sticking it in a 10 ton press and using 6-8 tons to push the thing(s) out. I've never seen something in so tight. Replaced them with stainless bolts and nuts with locktite - expensive but i had them around and they fit. Painted the tops and bottoms to hide the shine from thieving eyes.

I just used a BFH and a big nail punch to avoid mushrooming it.
