Default Found a rare iron duke blazer 4x4!

Hey guys I'm new to the forum... I've been looking at this forum for awhile and thought I would join to post this. If anybody has and more info on this rare combo please share! Found this and thought it was pretty interesting, anybody else have a duke blazer on here?

87 chevy S10 Blazer

I imagine this would be gutless as hell!

Anyways, cheers!

oops.not a 2.8,regardless ive seen many. alot of em were 5 speed due to a lack of power. Most of the power/acceleration was due to the trans, and the low gears.

I've read that s10 blazer came with a duke for only a year or two but didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to buy one (read gutless).

Very rare find indeed this is the 1st time I have ever seen or heard of a 4 cylinder blazer.
Are you planning on buying it the truck is remarkably clean for the year.

This is interesting as I have seen a base model second series 2wd equipped just this way! It came up at a county surplus auction and had the 5 speed! The interior was all rubber and had manual windows as well! No a/c either,it sold for about $700 if I recall and was, like a 97-99.Those fleet oddballs ARE out there...

Perfect candidate for a V8 swap! A small block V8 or 4.3 V6 will bolt right in. Just be aware that the NV1500 4 speed will not hold up to much heavy throttle, high horsepower style, driving.

Rare, yes, but who would want it? The Duke was never a good engine on fuel.
