Had the iron duke in my 89 s15 what a horrible engine needed a good mile clear to attempt to pass anything lol, after 2 years it sounded like a diesel live and learn

My uncle had one of these that he bought new when he lived in Mass. I think it was red too. My aunt at the time had a 4 cylinder mustang.

That depends on the year of the duke and what make it was in.I had one of those in a pontiac sunbird and got 30mpg hiyway.
In a Jimmy I can see why it wouldnt be that great on fuell though.

They came in the old Jeep YJs too, they were about the same on fuel as the 4.0l sixes. My dad had one in his '93 s-10 base 2wd and it was fairly well suited for it.
