Aux battery
I am currently doing sound system in my Blazer and going with 4 to 5 amps, I have the kit to put in a aux battery, here is question, Is it worth doing? I have read about the farad caps on here, seem no one loves them, so I am going with battery idea to make sure system has power it needs to power four 10 subs and 8 to 9 other speakers, around 1500-2000 watts. Done alot of systems in my time, but never really cared about power supply before, thanks in advance.

You are going to want to upgrade your Alt if you have not done so already.. and also while you are at it do the big 3 upgrade as well.
A second battery would work if you have done the other 2 things. The stock alt in these things can barely keep up with the OEM electrical.

I had a second car audio battery in my car for quite some time and it helped a lot for the overall heath of the electrical system. It gave the original alt more time to charge up what had drained during my loud moments. That being said I would have invested in the better alt had I had the money for it. I bought a HC1800 that I treated well as the battery was about $300 at the time of purchase.
