RE: aux from cassete
yea im not sure i understand either but i know a RCA cable is not just a positive and a negitive end it has double in each wire one wire (white/black) has a positive and negitive for it and as the other (red) has a positive and negitive wire runing through it so when you cut it your gonna have to untiwine a pretty tightly wound wire i think its more trouble the its worth. why are you adding rca to your tape deck to add a system or something along that line?

RE: aux from cassete
I say new deck with RCA inputs.
The tape deck should have a few wires. I think it would be hard to find unless you have a good electronics background or you can get the pinout for the tape deck.
