Lowered 4x4 blazer?
Hey I'm new on here, I live in Pennsylvania and really ever use the 4wd, I'm goin to be lowering my 97 blazer 4wd 4 door in the next few weeks, I got 3" blocks for the rear, I read and seen you just let the torsion keys out and it lowers the front, Is this true? Any pics of lowered 4wd blazers and help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

You might want to seriously reconsider this idea. Unless of course, you don't mind needlessly throwing money at it constantly. If you adjust the torsion bars out of spec, you're asking for trouble, and you'll get it. Most of the steering linkage and suspension components will wear out prematurely, and in some cases, fail without warning causing a total loss of control. This is not a good candidate for lowering. If you need a lower vehicle for the ease of entering/exiting, look for a Blazer Extreme.

4WD vehicles are not designed with lowering in mind, (counter productive). A body lift is far more common, but it too presents problems of its own. As long as you keep front chassis ride height within spec, you'll be fine. However, with the mods necessary to lower, that will be a serious challenge. If you need the procedure and specs for measuring & adjusting, just ask.

From post #4:

That's not saying it's not possible, it CAN be done.
