1986 S10 2.8 6cyl 4X4 Fuel Pump Issue or Electrical??
#21
I'm going to put some info on here, including as many details as I can think of, and hope that someone can help me. I have the same 2.8l 86 s10 blazer 4x4 as autobot. I've been tinkering with this thing for months now. I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to wiring or anything electrical. I came out from work one day and it simple wouldn't run. Turns over strong, but no fuel. I replaced the relay, the pump, the cap and rotor and the filter. It has a pretty bad oil leak, and I was concerned that the oil pressure switch might have something to do with it. So right now, as my battery is being charged by the trickle charger, I'm looking up the location for that particular little pain in the ***. I've been told it's the ECM/ECU, that it's the coil, the spark plugs... Apparently, everything on this POS directly effects the fuel pump. I just want someone with some experience with this particular problem on this particular truck to give me some sort of heads up as to what is wrong here. I'm sick of riding the bus. Thanks in advance, guys.
