When you turn the key all the power works, nothing else happens. Does it randomly, will do it today and crank tomorrow. Starter, selinoid, alternator have been checked, all good. Battery new, battery cables clean, new rotar cap, plugs and wires. Anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid it will eventually just die. Engine is rebuilt about 45K ago. Thanks!

I have an 89 S15 Jimmy and about 5 years ago I had a situation where it would not start intermittently. I ended buying and installing a complete rebuilt distributor from NAPA and have not had any problems since.

@Rick, I know you said you've already checked the starter Solenoid, but it might be worth revisiting that. When it acts up, maybe give a couple of taps on the starter (should be able to get to it from the passenger wheel well) and see if that has any effect. I had the exact same issue a couple weeks ago and it ended up being a stuck solenoid. Depending on how you diagnosed the solenoid, it may not act up during a bench test since there is no load. Don't know. But worth looking at again, I think.
