The body/bed mounts are going to be wrong from the drivers door back. The core support and maybe the front cab mounts should be the same but I think all the other mounts are going to be in the wrong spot.
Once you get the mounts sorted the wheelbases are going to be different so the bed wheel arches won't be centered over the rear wheel.
You'd be further ahead getting a 4WD pickup frame and just swapping the bodies.
Later, Doug

The wheelbases are a huge issue, I believe they are about 14 inchs off between the two trucks, so you would have to extend the blazer frame to make it fit, I don't think it's worth the work...IMO

I may be easier to chop off the back of the Blazer and make a rear cab wall. Presto... shortened pickup!

I know a girl back in Edmonton that chopped the back off her old blazer and it ended up looking really sweet! She cut it about 8 inches below the rear windows and made a removable panel to seal off the open air from behind the seats. Then she used the edges from a longbox truck box to fab onto the tops where the walls were cut so there is no sharp edges, and bedlinered the whole back area. She had the blazer seat that could be bolted into the back when she wanted as well, and the wall was removable with a couple latches so it could be used california style in the summertimes. There was also a fifth wheel hitch that comes out when the back seat goes in so they can pull their micro fifth wheel trailer with it, thats why the walls were trimmed down so low for clearance for the trailer. It was cute and looked like a short shortbox S10 with a box that wasnt as tall. It took her and her boyfriend a weekend to finish all the work and I was impressed by it, they were working on a custom roll bar for the back too last time I saw it before i moved to BC.
Definately the easier way to go, and you will have a unique whip after too.

Nah, thats way back in Edmonton, i dont live there anymore. It did look neat though, I think the fifth wheel was only a 12 or 14 footer plus the neck part, the smallest they made back in the late 70s. turning radius was sick too I bet.

I know these are correct for first gens (1982-1993/4)
s10 wheelbase
108" Shortbed
117" Longbed
122" Extended Cab
Blazer wheel base
2-Door: 100.5 in
4-Door: 107 in
If it was me and you are wanting to swap frames to keep the s10 body but get 4x4 slap it on a K5 blazer frame. You get a v8 and a much better solid front axle.
1979-1991 K5 blazer wheelbase
