couldnt agree more!! make sure you have fuel pressure!!! i had a similar problem, with my blazer, and it had me stumped for a day, and while changing the fuel filter i had the wife bump the kep for me, to make sure there was nothing in lines, and i noticed a different sound comming from fuel tank.. like a spraying sound.. so i dropped the tank and found the hose that connects the fuel pump to the sending unit had a hole in it, and was spraying the inside of the gas tank. i installed new hose, and truck fired up no problem.

Well..i gave in. Im having the fuel pump put in tomorrow for $60 from a friends shop. we will see if that fix's it. if not. im skunked.

u may also try and check the fuel filter. it could be all sludged up from sitting so long. but from the sounds of it when it needs a load it doesn't supply it. just like mr. vls says. i might be the fuel pressure regulator. i have heard of a bad ground on the pump cause issues as well
