1993 S-10 Blazer wont start
I have a 1993 S-10 blazer 2x4 4.3L. It was running great but then one day stalled on me. I started it back up once it ran for about 2 miles then died again. Now I cant get it to turn over. I checked a few things, I have spark, I disconnected the fuel line under the truck to turned the car to on and the fule pump is pumping fuel. The only way I got it to run was to spray stater fuild into the air intake. It starter but I had to put the peddle all the way down to just keep it running. When it was running it sounded bad, running rough, engine shanking alot. it will not stay on while idle. Is it an fuel injector issue? Exhaust problem? I dont smell rottn eggs. ANY idea what is causing the probem. ??The computer code its giving me is 43 code (knock sensor) but I don't think that will cause the problems I am having???

You need to get a fuel pressure gauge and attach it to the pressure port behind the plenum on the drivers side and tell us what the pressure is when you turn the key ON, not Started. Also what the pressure does when you turn the key off. Could be a bad Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I have the same code as you 43 and my blazer ran like crap all the way to work yesterday then on the way home it died and would not start . Turn over super fast though so I checked the fuel filter and that was good , then I checked the fuel pressure that to was good , so next I checked the spark and that was good . So I took the pletium cover off and took a peek and the spider injectors the wire that hooks to the spider just came loose or something . this is the second time this happened but put new gaskets in and put her back together now she purrs like a kitten again . The first time this happened It sat for 6 months and I replaced everything gas tank, sending unit , fuel pump then i got down to the last part that i really didn't want to buy (cpi) and I tore the engine apart to get to it and when I went to unhook it it clipped on so I hit the key with it all apart and everything worked so I put it back together and shes been good till yesterday . Hope this helps maybe . and when it did this you almost had to keep it floored to stay running and the engine was jumping all over just like you said . It was the wires that hook to the spider turns out they are common to fail . Now it does not hesitate one bit .
