Default 1994 blazer running issue

its got the 4.3 cpi motor (not tbi) what happens is when cold it runs fine but once it reaches running temp it runs like crap and i think its leaning out the fuel to much cause it will stall after hesitating and sputtering. Tune up has been done i think 2 years ago and no i havent had the opportunity to pull the codes cause its been parked for a year and the scanner at work sucks. its got 215,xxx. I know you cant give me the exact answer but if someone had this problem a starting point would be great thanks guys

check your fuel pressure....it should be around 55-60lbs. You may have a fuel leak in the injector or lines going to it. I just replaced all of it on mine and it runs WAY better!

maby try taking the egr valve off and cleaning it. scrape with a screw driver not too hard but to knock off the carbon buildup around the holes. maby its just stuck open. and make sure the needle or plunger what ever you want to call it thats blocking one of the holes moves freely up and down. DONT spray carb cleaner or anything inside it. it could mess it up. just spray it on a rag or someting them wipe it off. scape off old gasket and replace with new. oh and before you put it back on, start it up for just a couple seconds to blow out any carbon chunks out of the holes in the intake.

well update, got a new battery in it fired right up even after sitting for a year. ran maybe 5 minutes and died. Checked for spark at the coil pack and no spark. I replaced the coil and still died today (o well out $20). So what im gonna look into tommorow at work is what signals the coil to fire, I think it uses a ignition control module which has been replaced once but maybe out again.

I suggest you at least pull the codes before you do anything. You can do so without a scanner by doing this

Assembly Line Data Link (ALDL) Information
