Hello.
I have myself a 94 s10 blazer 4.3L Vortec.. The problem I am having is when the engine is cold, it kinda miss fires and smells like raw fuel.. when i take off and the engine is still cold, it sputters and doesnt want to run right.. But when the engine reaches operating temperature.. it clears up and runs fine..


i just gave it a tune up about 2000 miles ago
-cap and rotor
-wires
-plugs
-oil
-oil filter
-air filter
-fuel filter

check the egr to see if it's getting clogged. if that doesnt fix it then i'd say take the upper half of the plenum off and check to see that there are no cracks in the nut kit (plastic fuel lines inside plenum) that are causing fuel leakage. then check to make sure the Fuel Pressure Regulator is all good. then check to make sure the spider injector lines are not leaking.

 

My 93 vin W had similar symptoms. After having a shop replace the electronic egr (to meet emission regs. a shop had to do this to meet the minimum repair amount so I could pass emission testing), I ordered a fuel regulator from Amazon. After removing the upper plenum, I saw fuel pooling under the "nut kit" and bought a nut kit from Schucks.

I had problems getting the Torx screw off the old nut kit, but a bolt extractor finally worked. Now, my truck purrs! It's so much nicer than than the old misfiring Blazer I once drove.
