Default 1994 S10 Blazer front bumper bolts

I have a brush guard I purchased used and I now want to mount it. It uses the lower front bumper mounting bolts, as well as a set of brackets back to the frame. Problem is I cannot figure out how to access the nuts on the back of the carrige bolts to remove them. How have you guys removed your front bumpers? I have found the bolts, but it is nearly impossible to get a wrench or anything up in there. Thanks

ratchet wrench from the bottom. Take the grille out and the top is easy to get to.

Ya remove the grille and then the bumper filler panel (7 10mm bolts). That should give you plenty of room to see what you're doing.

The problem with removing the grille is not being able to replace the grille once the guard is installed. I have been able to get to the bolts from the underside of the vehicle. Reaching above the bracket and dropping the wrench down into the bracket. The issue is a regular socket isnt deep enough to clear the threads, but the deep socket is too deep to clear inside the bracket.

Don't guess I've ever seen one you couldn't get the grille out with the guard in place. Is it homemade?

it is not homemade. Its a Grizzle. I guess I will look into pulling the grille, mounting the guard, and then replacing the grille.
