Default 1998 chevy s10 blazer gauges, radio, 4x4

Hi, I just bought a used 98 chevy s10 blazer. On the way home from where I bought it. I had the radio on, I checked to see if the ac worked, which it did then I switched it over to heat ( the man I bought it from said that it has poor heat) when I did that the radio and all the gauges (except the volt meter) shut off. All the dash lights also. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. I took out the dash panel and checked the plug and wires nothing seems to be wrong. Today, two days later, the lights suddenly came on again (dim) but then went back off. Also, the 4 wheel drive worked fine when I took it for a test ride (of course). I brought it home and when I hit the button it went into 4hi and I couldnt get it out. I disconnected the battery and it went back into 2hi, but now wont go back into 4hi or 4low When I drive the blazer it is out of 4 wheel drive, but seems like only in the front axle, and the transfer case winds like it is still in somehow. I dont even know where to begin with that. Any suggestions at all would be GREATLY appreciated.

for the gauges and radio id start by checking the fuses you prob had a weak fuse
if it blows again theres a short or something some where

for the 4wd

you might have a bad switch on the transfer case

I had the same issue on my 2000 - be sure to check your vacuum hoses in the engine compartment, a leak will make the transfer case selector act crazy as well as the heater/ac system...
