Hello, Just had a quick question. I hope I am posting this in the correct spot. I have an 89 s10 blazer 4.3. I blew the tranny, so I took it to my buddies shop and had them put in one from a junkyard. Everything works fine, except the little dot stays on that says its in 4low, even though the t-case shifter is in 2wd. I can move the shifter through all the positions and the light only stays on 4low, and the two front wheels on the indicator do not light up anymore like how they usually do when its in 4x4. I THINK it is still actually going into 4high, but I havent officially tested it, just seems as if the lights are acting funny. Is there some sort of actuator or switch on th t-case linkage that maybe wasn't reconnected that would cause this? Thanks a lot

You should be able to tell if its in 4wd just by moving it along the road. So Im guessing it comes out of 4 just the light stays on??? take a tight turn, you will know if its in 4 still as it wont want to turn as nicely.
Mine I have to go from 4low to 4 high and then click 4 high again to get it to disengage. I have the push button and no display for what the transfer case is doing.

yea, I'm going to mess with it tomorrow, wish me luck, ill drive it around a bit, make a few turns and see what it feels like. like i said im pretty sure its working, its just not indicating that it is, the light just stays on 4 low, but its most definetely not in 4 low so Ill climb under and see if theres a disconnected wire or something. thanks
