Default 85 blazer fan speeds not working right

the 85 s10 blazer is not blowing like it should... its pretty much one speed on high and high is very low.....for this vehicle there is one blower motor resistor on the housing on the passenger in engine compartment. 4 flat blade connection and 3 coily things on the other side . i took it out and they all looked shiny and together. can it still be bad? is that the resistor for the the main blower fan or is there another one someone or another part that could be the problem? thanks

Sounds like a resistor to me, just because something is shiny, does not mean its good.

the relay and fuse would be good if the fan is on and turning so if its not the resistor what is left the switch ?

ok replaced the resistor it seems to have brought the fan switch back to normal where it works on all 4 speeds. the fan is not terribly powerful unless its old? do they wear our and slow down or just full blast then dead? but it looks like i have a blend door issue also im not getting air out of the main vents and defroster i just feel it on the dirverside floor and vent . it does feel like anything is coming out
