Default 88 4.3 Fuel and spark, no start

Ive been lurking this forum for a while now and my truck died so I thought I would post. I was driving at 50 MPH at it just completely cut out and died. It will turn over and act like it wants to start but it just wont go. I have spark, although I'm not sure if its a really good spark or not. It also is getting gas, and I can hear the fuel pump prime. I sprayed some starting fluid in the throttle body yesterday with my gf trying to start it. It would sound like it was ready to pop and I would spray it and would get nothing. Im thinking it must not be a fuel issue? I have replaced coil, icm check plugs and wires. Not sure what to do from here?

How are you checking spark?
Just cause you hear the pump doesnt mean you are getting fuel... You should check the pressure.

If it wont start on ether, then you should check the timing, even though in my experience if the timing is off it will backfire out the TB... You said you changed your ICM, did you pull your distributor out to do so? You may have put it in 180degrees out?

I need to buy a nice spark tester, but I pulled a wire, put a new plug on it and grounded it while someone cranked the motor. I want to check fuel pressure but there is no valve on there anywhere to hook it to and its all metal lines, where do people hook the fuel pressure tester to? And when I changed the ICM I only pulled the cap, everything was reinstalled correctly. Thing that confuses me is when I try to start with some starting fluid it does nothing, that makes me think its not a fuel problem. I donno

Update...

I had to replace the tank because it had a hole in it. I put in a new pump since I was already there. Also a new fuel filter. Check psi and Its at 11. Also bought a spark tester and it has good spark. This thing still will not start. Any more ideas, because Im getting very angry at this thing and its about to go to the scrapper
