Default 88 S10 Blazer

I've got a 88 S10 Blazer with a 4.3 was wandering what all is involved in changing it to a 2.8 for my mom.The 4.3 is locked up,and I have got a good rebuilt 2.8 & rebuilt 700r4 tranny out of my other 88 that I took out to put a V8 in.

The PCM? See if the harness will fit into the power control module.

I think a 6 cylinder computer will look for 6 cylinders and the lack there of resulting in not running. Only my opinion.
