88 s10 blazer bad idle please help

Hello i have an 88 blazer with a 4.3L i have been having issues with it for about 2 weeks. i will be driving then all of a sudden it will lose power and wont go anwhere the more i push the gas the more it bogs then it will kick in again and fly. i have drained all gas and new filter incase of water. any suggestions? it will happen when ever it wants to. thanks in advance

Had the same problem, changed out the iac 2 weeks ago and no problems since. Only $25 for part and 10 mins to change

hey i was told that i need a fuel pressure regulator kit? is this common?

If this is a TBI the answer is yes. The kit is not much more the a few gaskets and a spring and a diagphram. This controls your fuel pressure at the TBI. You need around 11 psi for a TBI engine to run smooth. I installed an adjustable regulator with a fuel pressure gauge installed on the fuel inlet. This way I can always check the fuel pressure with a quick look under the hood.

I purchased my adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Injector Spacer, Fuel Pressure gage, Tee and inlet fittings from CFM-tech. Here is the link:
