88 s10 fuel line change
I have a 4 door 88 Chevy Blazer S10 4.3 lieter. Some jerk nearly killed me going across an intersection and after I slammed on the breaks the back break fluid line broke. Im not too sure where it is yet but when I hit the break, fluid sprays out of an area right below the left passenger door. I have minimal car knowledge(Ive done the exhaust and alternator on this unit) and was wondering what needs to be done to replace the rear break line as I cant find any videos that are specific enough. Thanks for the help all.
its probably the main line going from the front to the back. it should unscrew above the rear axle somewhere at the rubber line, then you have to trace it up towards the front of the vehicle and find somewhere where it unthreads up front. might have a union halfway up or might be one piece all the way up to the engine bay somewhere
its best if you have a second vehicle cause you may hbave to make a few trips back and forth. when i used to do that at home i would just remove the entire section measure how much i need and try to get a line or lines around the same length and some unions.
try to bring parts of the line to the parts store so they can match it up too. also look up brake bleeding procedures too for the back brakes that will need to be done also. spray down your rear wheel cylinder bleeders with some rust penatrant way before hand so they open. if you are in a rusty part of the country they may brake along with the axle lines if you go to replace those
