Default Power steering line change

Both of my power steering return line show signs of leaking where it swaps from rubber line to metal. The line going from the steering box to the cooler seems like its leaks more. Neither are major at this point, but I want to fix them before its too late. If I pickup the rubber PS lines and some new hose clamps for them is there any special steps to changing them?

Really is not any special steps to replacing them. Just take off whatever is in your way so you can get room to work.

Yah they seem like they are pretty open I can pull the CAI to get to it easier. Im guessing that when I take the line off the cooler it will empty out, will it fill itself up fine when I start it up after hooking it back up or is there going to be a big air bubble somewhere?

BLEEDING A POWER STEERING SYSTEM.- Any time you replace or repair a hydraulic component (pump. hoses, and power piston), you should bleed the system. Bleeding the system assures that all of the air is out of the hoses, the pump, and the gearbox. Air can cause the power steering system to make a BUZZING sound. The sound will occur as the steering wheel is turned right or left.

To bleed out any air, start the engine and turn the steering wheel fully from side to side. Keep checking the fluid and add as needed. This will force the air into the reservoir and out of the system.

Hope this helps you!!!

my suggestion, remove power steering from the vehicle. I have only had 2 vehicles with it and you dont really need it all that much.
