89 s-10 Blazer high/low idle, stalling
My son has an 89 s10 2.8 Blazer that is having issues.
When he first starts it, everything is fine. But after he goes a bit and comes to a stop it idles very high. When he starts driving again, it tends to settle down. Neutral and/or pushing in the clutch causes the idling to increase alot. If he parks and shuts the engine off, then restarts it idles low and tries to die (basically if he doesn't try start moving right away). He also said its sucking down gas more than normal.
Thanks in advance for any help.

clean the iac and the egr valve they can cause idle problems
you can use carb cleaner to clean them make sure you clean them nice a spotless its worth it
also while removing the egr valve try not to damage the gasket
Edit: this can help you
