Default 89 S10 Blazer 4.3 4X4 I cant find Speedo Cable

I am trying to located where the speedo cable is located under the truck with no avail, does anyone have a photo?

I think 89 still has cable drive if so:

comes out the drivers side of the t-case, runs under the drivers seat, up the firewall, into the firewall right beside the brake booster.

tailhousing of the transfer case(near the rear driveshaft)

Thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking 90 was the swap year. Honestly 89 is one of the 3 85-93 I haven't owned.....yet.

well the problem i am having is speedo and odo are not working but everyhting else in the cluster is. also i have the old style gauges like the 88's not the newer digital

is possibly your oil gauge funky and your brake light on? Mine did all that and speedo when my gauge fuse fuse was blown. turned out to be a short in the harness behind the distributor.

Oil gauge is fine and no lights on that shouldn't be. I found some old records in the glove box dated back to 2010 and it had the same milage on the receipt that the odo currently reads, so i know the problem has been there at-least 2 years at a min

Most likely the VSS bad.

And they called analog gauges.
