90 4.3 wont start unassisted
Hey folks, I searched the forums and couldn't find anything on this. I am a newbie so forgive me.
My truck wouldn't start, battery was DEAD. So I went and got a new battery. No problem. But the truck will not start unless starting flui is shot into the breather area, and I don't mean a little squirt, I am talking copious amounts. Once started it stays running.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Check fuel pressure. For TBI it needs to be around 11 PSI. Could also be the fuel pressure regulator spring is not maintaining the correct pressure at the injectors. TBI rebuild kit provides a new spring and diagphram for the regulator..
