Default 91 died wont start. fuel/carb?

I have a '91 s10 blazer that died on me while driving. It wouldn't start back up after that. After a little studying here, I decided to replace my fuel pump and filter. Car still wouldn't start, although the pump was atleast able to send fuel through the new fuel filter because I re-took it off and it was full of gas. So maybe it's farther down the fuel line.

I take off the air filter and open the carb (TBI?) throttle, and pour a little gas in it. The car started an ran for about 5-10 seconds, and died again. Definitely a fuel problem. I figure there must be a clog somewhere between the fuel filter and those two little things that squirt fuel into the throttle holes, because it's not spraying at all.

I need some suggestions, am I missing anything? Where should I go from here?

Just out of curiosity what were you doing when it died?

i work on a dairy farm, i was driving along a dirt road, going maybe 25mph. the car had been on for no longer than 5 minutes.

Another thing I was just advised had to do with "priming the gas line"...is that something that I need to do that I didn't? If so, then how?

You can undo a connector for the fuel line and see if it comes out there when you turn on your key. You can try wiggling the injectors wire harness and make sure its tight. The fuel will look like a vapor coming out of the injector.

I was just wondering because I notice mine sometimes dies on sharp turns if you don't give it some gas while turning.

Use some fuel injector cleaner if you can

A couple more things... I noticed my ecm I fuse was blown but every time I try to replace it, it blows when I attempt to start the engine. And where do I find the fuel pump relay on a 91?

Under the hood and up by your brake booster there is 2 little cubes with wires coming out the bottom... the left is your horn relay, the right is your fuel pump relay.

Okay I fixed it. My ecm fuse kept blowing so it either meant a shorted wire or a bad ecm, right? I went under my hood and jiggled, disconnected, and reconnected random wires, hooked the battery back up and the car started! Funny thing is I'm not really sure which wire did it.

I think altogether what happened was my fuel pump was going bad, it shorted a wire, blew my fuse, and shut off my car. Either that, or the bumpy dirt road knocked a wire loose and blew my fuse. Thank you for your replies.
