91 door locks

Default 91 door locks

Well I got a 91 S10 pickup, and found out I have a door key, but it doesnt work with the locks. soo I was wondering, I have a 92 Cavilear that Ill be junking next weekend, would it be possible just to pop out the locks and switch them, then use my cavi key? neather car or truck is power locks, so I figured they wight work, but I dont know, and figured someone on here might.

You could give it a try, but I have no way of seeing if the locks are the same between the two in terms of how the lock cylinder his held into the door.

So if there held to the door the same way, they should work then? I hope they work, other wise I have to spend money just so I can start work on puting a system in this thing (after I redo the clutch that it) [:@]

I'm trying to remember my j body years but if 92 is the body style I'm thinking it is I'm 99% sure they will work. The door handles should be the same and also swap out. Gotta love GM only wanting to make one part for every model.

yea, I know the handles are the same for sure, but Ill pop the locks out tomarrow and head over the the garage where my trucks up on blocks waiting to get a new clutch and compair.... not having locking doors would really suck
