Exclamation 91 S-10 Blazer reverse lights. where are they?

Hi, i just replaced all my tail light bulbs as it looked like they were as old as the truck and starting to set roots.
There were only 3 bulbs to each tail light. Top one was the main lamp bulbs (with 2 filaments) the middle bulb was the tiny side light ones. And the bottom bulb was an amber turn signal (indicator) bulb - this one is behind the white section of the tail light cover.
As i understand it, the white section at the bottom should also be the reverse light, yet there is only 1 bulb which is amber and is for turning.
So... where is my reverse light? Cos right now when i reverse there's no bulb on for that.
Thanks and regards,
J.
P.S. i am confused easily by this as i am in the UK and this is my first Yank Tank. My M.O.T. (vehicle inspection) is due soon so i'm worried about this.

take the amber one out of the bottom and put in an 1156-single filament bulb and hopefully all will be ok-if not you have further issues.. Regards Jerry PS if you do have further issues post them here and many people will try and help you! And we're all so good we charge nothing!

Thanks for the reply. Is that a clear bulb? If so, how will the turn signals work? They should be amber, yes?
I'm baffled how 1 bulb can do 2 colours and 2 jobs...
I take it the 1156 is an american bulb code.
Cheers i'll look into that.
J.

Hey Johnny, my best guess is that someone put orange ones in the reverse lights. The turn signals are one in the same with the brake lights. The main bulb does your stop/tail/turn function, the little bulb is a marker light and the bottom would be your reverse lights.
