Default 92 Blazer Fuel Injection Questions...

I need to clean the fuel injection, so am going to go with a fuel additive, one of my friends suggested to add an octane booster at the same time as the fuel cleaner to really do the job...I dont want to sound like a bad friend or anything, but, has anyone done this? It just seems a bit overkill to put two bottles of additive in one tank of gas...suggestions?

You can get a extra concentrated fuel additive, instead of using 2 bottles. Or, use a higher octane fuel w/ the cleaner. Also, if u have a TBI injection, the injector filters are only $4 each. And a fuel filter is about $15. I suggest buying these instead of countless bottles of additive, if somethings clogged.

Keep in mind, you would have to get new O-rings after you pull the injectors, which would require dismantleing the top of the carb (about 8 torq heads), plus a new gasket. And for the fuel filter, hopefully it wouldn't be rusted to the line so you wouldn't have to replace the line AND the filter, which i had to do (only spent $25).

Somewhat time consuming, but still less expensive than buying an $8 fuel additive every time you fill the tank!
