Default 92 vortec running rich and has blueish smoke

I am picking up this 92 blazer in a few days and wondering what I should start looking at first in regards to the running rich and blueish smoke? I am not a mechanic, but I can get by.

Thanks,
D

I believe the blueish smoke is a result of burning oil.

Yep, probably burning oil from leaking valve seals.

The running rich could be a result of a bad O2 sensor, fouled by soot from the oil contamination.
